When a Windows computer resizes its display, Synergy processes the event (forwards new screen size to Synergy server, etc.).
Implementing the same thing for Linux/UN*X should be pretty easy, using Xrandr.
Specifically, by requesting to receive XRRScreenChangeNotifyEvent events.
