  • Duplicates: Bug #71 - Omega (?) symbol appears instead of @ on GB keyboard

Google user: gra...@interdog.co.uk

Running configuration:
- Synergy+ 1.3.5 from SVN on 13/5/2010
(Same behaviour seen in Synergy 1.3.3)
- Server on Windows 7 64bit
- Client on Kubuntu 9.10
- UK keyboard and keyboard layout used on both.

Keyboard layout issues

Try to type an @ symbol on the client machine and an Omega symbol appears
instead (strangely, in a VMware client, it shows a lower case q instead.)
Also in a VMware client [ and ] appear as 8 and 9. They function correctly
in other applications, or using the local client keyboard. All other keys,
included the shifted version of these work as expected.

Change client to a US keyboard layout by running setxkbmap us causes keys
to work as expected (including in VMWare client). However, doing this
renders is impossible to type a pound (£) sign.

Modifier Issues

After restarting server application, client reconnects automatically, but
shift and control modifiers no longer work on client.

Killing and restarting the client process restores modifier behaviour.

Any hints greatfully received.
