  • Duplicated by: Support #3273 - Mac App fails to become foreground when focused

When running synergy 1.4.8 as a client on Mac OS 10.6 clicking in an app window doesn't properly make that app active, whereas clicking in an app window's title bar does make it active. By not "properly" I mean the app window raises but the app's menu doesn't appear in the menu bar, leaving the old menu there. This problem does not occur in the 1.3.8 client. The server version doesn't matter.

I'm getting this as well, except clicking on the titlebar doesn't help for me either. Going to 1.3.8 to see if that works better.

1.3.8 does fix it, though I do run into the Ubuntu screen edge bug mentioned here (http://superuser.com/questions/385067/synergy-weirdness-when-moving-the-mouse-from-one-desktop-to-the-next). But that can at least be worked around by throwing a dummy window on the side of the screen, so 1.3.8 it is for now. Hopefully some of the 1.3.8 Mac code can be ported up to 1.4.10 to fix the activation bug.

A work around seems to be to move the mouse to the client (though you can't see it) and press Meta+Tab.
