Bug #3173 - Service does not update GUI status icon
Steps to reproduce:
- Install Synergy 1.4.8
- After instalation when wizard appears select service on startup mode page.
On installed version 1.4.8 select File->Run Wizard and select service on startup mode page.
Expected: There should be connection status on tray icon indicating connection status after client connected
Actual: The server/client icon doesn't show staus even when clients are connected. When you right click on Synergy tray icon the enabled option is always "start" even when server is running.
Versions (Synergy, OS):
Server: 1.4.8 (Windows 7 64bit) - On Wizard selected server->service - no status
Server: 1.4.8 (Windows 7 64bit) - On Wizard selected server->Desktop - green checkmark is displayed - no problem
Client 1: 1.4.8 (Windows XP 32bit) - On Wizard selected client->service - no status
Client 2: 1.4.8 (Windows XP 32bit) - On Wizard selected client->Desktop - green mark is displayed - no problem
Client 3: 1.4.7 (Windows XP 32bit) - yellow lighting - no problem
Run wizard and on startup mod select desktop instead service.
Additionally when on server/client in wizard startup mode select service and right click on synergy icon the start option is enabled all the time.
The solution is for the GUI to change the icon based on what the server tells it. To do this though we need to finish the GUI to service IPC layer.
