  • Related to: Bug #3214 - Client sometimes can't connect if GUI is closed
  • Duplicated by: Support #3231 - Windows server service not fully configured

Important: Very confusing, but when the client is running on win7, it works just fine when logging in/out.

  1. Run Synergy in service mode
  2. Switch users and see Synergy is working
  3. Log out and see that it doesn't work (client can't even connect)
  4. Log back in and see that server doesn't start until GUI starts

I suspect what's happening is the daemon is waiting on sending a log message because the GUI isn't connected. To solve this we need an IPC log client connected/disconnected state, so that messages can be discarded when an IPC log client has gone away.
