What list of steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. synergys running on ubuntu 9.04 + openjdk
  2. synergyf running on ubuntu 9.10
  3. On server view youtube style video from server monitor

What version of operating system, and Synergy+ are you using?

synergy-plus-1.3.4-Linux-x86_64

What is the expected behaviour, and what happens instead?

  1. Attempt to move to another screen, hits edge and won't move to next
    screen.
  2. synergys -f is non-responsive, cannot end process without great
    difficulty.

Is there a way of temporarily working around your problem?

  1. End the process somehow, make sure synergys is no longer running and
    then restart.

There are no logs to demonstrate any type of error, the entire program
just becomes non-responsive. If you quit the client, no new messages
appear on server.

Thanks for opening a new issue. Please could you turn on debugging and run the
application in the foreground? This way we can see more detail of what causes the
behaviour. Also you can try logging to file.

We always welcome contributions so if you feel like patching this please let us know.

I'll have to get back to you on this, I've been trying to replicate this error to no
luck. All I remember was that it occured when there was a large string in the
clipboard and a video was somehow running in the browser. Give me some time and I'll
figure it out, I'll run it until it happens next and then I'll know what the cause
is. I have debug info on.

That's pretty much it. That's all I have prior to this issue.

Tried it again with DEBUG2 seriously, it just hangs. This is the video I was

Further information:

In system monitor the normal waiting channel is dopoll, but when it locks up, this
changes to do
select. Don't know if that helps.

Cool, thanks for all the info, I'm sure this will be very helpful when someone gets
round to investigating the issue. Please let me know if you'd like to try and fix this
issue yourself - like I said, we always welcome patches.

I do wish that I could be of assistence but I have very little knowledge in this
field, however I am trial and erroring this bug further, I have changed my java
version to see if this fixes it. Also, I think that this bug tends to occur in the
web browser Opera, as it seems to have very buggy java capabilities under linux, but
I will continue to search for spock (the issue).

I can confirm this behavior on a Funtoo (gentoo) box with synergy-plus-1.3.4 running
as master.

Do you guys run Opera by any chance? I found this bug some time ago, and wrote a

Thank you troxor! I do use Opera. That patch to synergy-1.3.1 seems to have fixed
all my issues. I've avoided moving my mouse over flash windows for years. To be able
to do so again with impunity is refreshing.

No prob, sorry it has sat idle in the bug tracker for so long. This project looks a
