Synergy

Problem:

1. Load large amount of data into clipboard on one computer (e.g. image data)
2. Move mouse to another computer screen
3. Try to use mouse or keyboard

Expected: No lag.
Actual: Lag (a few seconds to a minute) before can use mouse/keyboard on either computer.

Sometimes when I have a lot of data on the clipboard (e.g. image data, a lot of text, etc.), it will take several seconds to transition the cursor from the screen of one computer to another. In some of these instances, it can take much longer (up to a minute), particularly if I'm using the Internet heavily on one or both machines already.
When this occurs, if I clear the system clipboard, then the transition is seamless as usual; this is how I know the source of the problem to be with uploading/downloading the clipboard data.

What would be nice to solve this type of issue is the ability to customize the clipboard support. I envision it as follows.

• Ability to disable/enable clipboard support in Synergy globally from the server, both in the configuration and on-the-fly by right-clicking the icon and selecting the option to toggle it.

• Ability to disable/enable clipboard support per-computer, per direction. That is, I might never want to allow the clipboard to be exported from Computer A to be imported by any other computer, but I'd want it to be able to be exported from other computers to be imported by Computer A; or I wouldn't want Computer A to be able to import from others or export to others at all.
  The use case for me here that I do a lot of composition work in Photoshop, but only on my Mac (10.6.5); while doing so I don't want it to export the image data from the clipboard, but I do like to be able to import clipboard contents (mostly text) from other computers. Then, when I'm not using Photoshop, I want to be able to quickly turn back on the clipboard export support on the Mac. I also do this sort of work on one of my Windows PCs.

• If possible, ability to toggle support of different kinds of clipboard data, again at global or per-computer levels.
  More specifically, I'd want to be able to disable exporting/importing of image data for certain computers; thereby only supporting text (formatted and plain).
  However, I can understand this would definitely be complicated (and require a fair bit of processing time on my server/client), so as long as the quick-toggle I mentioned above can be done on a per-computer basis then that would more than suffice.

Versions (Synergy, OS):

Server: Win XP SP3; Synergy+ 1.3.4
Client 1: Mac OS 10.6.5. SynergyKM 1.3.0 (have also tried version 1.3.4 of synergyc with the same results. this version is much less easy to configure and manage so I reverted to using latest-found version of SynergyKM.)
Client 2: Win 7 Pro 64-bit. Synergy+ 1.3.4 (x64)
