Filed for 1.3.1 but I believe this bug goes back to at
least 1.2.6
I'm running v1.3.1 server on Windows XP Pro32 SP2,
client on RedHat Linux 9, kernel 2.4.20-43.9.legacy

Linux client should automatically start via
/etc/rc5.d/S99local which is a shell script containing
the line:
/usr/bin/synergyc --daemon hostname

This has never worked for me since using v1.2.6, but
currently the system error message given is:
May 3 08:58:08 robdes Synergy 1.3.1: WARNING:
synergyc.cpp,337: cannot open secondary screen: unable
to open screen

that's not how you autostart synergy. see:

what you're trying doesn't work because of xauth.
