Bug #2269 - keyboard state not syncronized between machines
SourceForge user: karnlund
Server machine is windows XP set up to start Synergy as
a boot service.
Client machine is Windows 2000 Prof. set up to start
Synergy as a boot service.
on the client machine, I've noticed on apps that
display the status of the numlock, that my two machines
do not agree with each other and that the client
machine does not agree with the true state of my
keyboard. The app will show that numlock is on when
the keyboard light shows it to be off.
I suspect that changes in keyboard toggle states should
be broadcast to all clients as they change, so that
they can be kept in sync.

This may or may not be related but I've found that at least
on version 1.2.2 my laptop will claim number lock off
(normal state) while I'm not on its screen, but as soon as I
move over to it the number lock will light up. As soon as I
leave the laptop though it'll go back to the default state
of number lock off.

I have a similar problem, but with MacOSX as the server. The Numlock
refuses to work on the client (Windows XP). Mac (properly) acts as
though Numlock is always on, but I cannot get the client to receive
numbers from the keypad, even if I press Numlock. If I attach a
keyboard to the client, Numlock is already on and the numeric keypad
works, but with Synergy it never works.

broadcasting those keys, such as numlock, would cause untold
havoc. many games, i.e. Final Fantasy XI, use the numlock
key for the logout function. constantly broadcasting this
would create a nightmare. proper polling then sync would be
more logical, and in fact, works fine for me, XP across the
board.
