Bug #221 - Prevent synergyc (client) from opening twice (causes mouse input failure)
Google user: thomasmschaefer
Using Mac Snow Leopard as the server (Synergy+ 1.3.4) and the same Synergy+ version on the
client), I noticed that when I selected the auto-start option on the client using SYnergy+, that
the mouse inputs stopped. I suspect this is due to the modal dialog that the GUI puts up to
confirm the auto-start will be turned off.
The exact steps I took were to run the Synergy+ client, select Uninstall from "When Computer
Starts". I was just testing this, but then after I clicked uninstall, all mouse inputs stopped.
Fortunately, I still have my hardware KVM or I would have had to reboot.
I searched on open dialog and just dialog to look for existing errors.
Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom, What client OS are you running?

The client in question is Windows XP. I found out that I was running two instances of
the client so they were both trying to connect to the server (Perhaps there should be
a mechanism to see if the program is already running?).
When I fixed that problem and tested again, this problem went away.
Please close this ticket. Thanks, Tom

Decided to take your suggestion on board, I think it may be a good idea to allow the
user to stop the application from being open twice.
