Bug #1376 - Ω symbol instead of @
- Duplicates: Bug #71 - Omega (?) symbol appears instead of @ on GB keyboard
SourceForge user: nobody
Client OS: Kubuntu 6.10
Kernel: 2.6.17-11-generic
Synergy Client/Server Version: 1.3.1
Server OS: Windows XP SP2
I find that when i press the @ key on my keyboard connected to the windows XP machine whilst using the said keyboard on the linux machine, instead of getting an @ symbol, i get Ω.
I have used a keyboard connected to the linux machine and i get the normal @ symbol when i press they key. I have also connected the keyboard i have used on the windows machine, to the linux one, it too gives me the correct @ symbol.

I too have this problem.
Both computers are running Ubuntu GNU/Linux Edgy. I installed from the deb package in the universe repository. The version is stated to be 1.3.1, protocol 1.3. The keyboard works fine for the server but not for the client.
It is a PS2 keyboard, and the client has no PS2 ports, so I can't switch and see if this makes a difference.

Experiencing the same problem.
Server running 1.3.1 on Windows XP SP2
Client running 1.3.1 on Ubuntu Linux (6.06 / Dapper Drake)
Keyboard is USB connected to a USB to PS2 converter.
Symbol comes out as Omega on client. Also noticed in a terminal when connected via ssh the @ symbol appears as :\251 and \316\251
