Steps to reproduce:
1. set a hotkey to switch screens that has a shift
key in it (like shift-ctrl-f1)
2. switch to second machine.
3. type a letter with the right shift key down, then
release the key and type some more.

result:
it acts like caps lock is down. all text stays upper
caps until you press the left shift key.
