I have used Synergy for years, connecting machines of various operating systems wirelessly, usually with no problems. My current setup has two, and sometimes three Win 7 machines connected wirelessly, all situated near one another and I am using the latest beta version of Synergy. One of the machines is 64-bit. My machines connect just fine and all is well until suddenly the cursor on one of the client machines stalls and I discover that the live cursor has returned to the server screen and is trapped on the server (32-bit) screen for up to a minute, then operation returns to normal. This repeats periodically, and while this is happening, other activities on the network seem to be continuing just fine. Meantime, the machines seem to be doing their tasks and are not frozen. I've wondered if it is the Windows Firewall or something to do with the homegroup, since that seems to act up sometimes. The problem seems to occur no matter which of my several wireless networks I happen to be using for the machines, so I don't think the router can be blames. I'm wondering if others have encountered anything like this and the cure. |

I have the same problem with Ver. 1.3.8 on two Win7 machines. I just reformatted the server computer's hard-drive and now have intermittent responsiveness when on the client screen, and the mouse leaves the client screen after about 10 to 20 seconds. Prior to reformatting, Synergy worked well to join these same two computers. |
