I have installed several times and configured as shown on control multiple computers instructions when I push start it says Synergy goes from running to Synergy is not running Any suggestions? |

Please upgrade and use service mode. |

My Synergy was working great, and then stopped for the longest time. I checked the log today, and saw a similar error string as above, but underneath it, i saw: unknown screen name `PC' I had changed the Host PC label from "PC" to what it is called "IT" and that was apparently my issue. I have just come across the same issue. After a bit of messing around I found that my problem is related to the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. When the synergy server is stopped on Windows 7 the synergy icon stays around in the toolbar but disappears as soon as I hover over it with the mouse. After this the server will restart properly again. |
I second that question. I have installed synergy on my Windows PC as the server. Every time I hit "Start", it says "Synergy is not running".
Viewing the log, it says:
Running synergy: ./synergys.exe -f --debug NOTE --name Len-Laptop -c C:/Users/Len/AppData/Local/Temp/qt_temp.gq9992 --address 192.168.1.5:24800
Cannot initialize hook library; is synergy already running? cannot open primary screen: unable to open screen
