Wierd behavior of ALT key

I'm experiencing some weird behavior with my ALT key (two win7-64 PCs, even happened with two different servers). Suddenly I can't select text in Word 2010, the "research" bar appears when I click on something (which corresponds to alt+click) and keyboard shortcuts are launched. This gets solved for a while as soon as I press the ALT key on my USB keyboard, and permanently if I stop synergy. Happening on 1.4.2 and 1.4.3.
