Does Synegy work over wifi?

Is it possible to configure these two kinds of machines to work on the same local network over wifi? I know Lion lost SMB visibility/capability to see XP machines, or something to that effect. I would love to know if there is kind of clever networking workaround that will at least let them talk to each other so Synergy works...
