[closed] Rookie making connectivity error somewhere. Please help.

Hi,

I'm using a VAIO laptop and VAIO desk top. XP and Vista respectively. Desktop (server) saying waiting for client. Laptop (client) saying connecting to server, but there's no connection. Using v 1.4.3. Pretty confident everything is configured correctly.

Sadly, I have no idea what "config file between <pre> and </pre> tags" are. I am launching manually, through desktop icon.

Any and all help appreciated.

Please edit your question, and include your config file between <pre> and </pre> tags. Also, is Synergy being launched manually (if so how), or auto-starting?

What that means is, when you edit your question, do the following:

position the cursor where you want to insert your config file for us to review.
type
```
 <pre> 
```
Paste the contents of your config file from your server.
type
```
 </pre> 
```
