I have used Synergy 1.3X for years and I love it.

I added a new machine so I have four machines and five monitors.

I decided to use 1.4.3

I run all computers as Administrator.

Works great EXCEPT:

How do I get Synergy to start at Windows 7 start up?

In the program I selected Edit and Settings and "Start"
"Automatically start server or client when GUI starts"

But when I boot the machines Synergy does not start.

So I have to start Synergy on each machine before I can share the keyboard and mouse.

I have noticed that after I boot the computers the X box for "Start" "Automatically start server or client when GUI starts" is NOT checked. Meaning the check box does not stay checked when I reboot.

What I have tried as a work around is to add Synergy 1.4.3 into the Windows 7 Start-Up folder. But all that does is open the program at start-up. I still have to reach for the keyboard and mouse on each computer to click on "Start".

Thanks

I have installed Synergy 1.4.5 on my Windows 7 PC (server) and Windows XP Netbook (as recommended by PCPlus Issue 315). All basic funtions work well, BUT I have the same problem as above. I'm keen to find a solution for the XP Netbook in particular.

One day after writing above, I have come back to my 2 PC ststem, and it all connects automatically. I don't have to touch the Netbook, but can use it via my Desktop Keyboard and Mouse within abot 30 secs of booting up the Netbook.

I've no idea what changed, but I have: - Put Synergy shortcut in Startup folder, set to start minimised - Made settings inclde "Automatically start server .. (which today remains ticked)
