I have 2 windows pc's on a LAN. I have 2 mobile carts, each with a wireless keyboard/mouse. I want to be able to push either cart up to either pc and have the KB/M on the cart control the pc. Using Logitech unifying receiver, I can pair both sets of KB/M with a single pc but not both pcs. Would Synergy (together with unifying wireless KB/M receiver)allow me to control either pc with either KB/M?

Are the two machines within range of each other?

Synergy is designed to have one server and multiple clients. In your scenario, each machine would have to be both a server and a client, but this configuration is not supported.

If your two machines were in range, you could make PC 1 be the server and always keep your KB/M paired with it. When you rolled up to PC 2, you'd then drag your mouse over to PC 2 and begin working (the KB/M would talk to PC 1 wirelessly and move the mouse cursor on PC 1 over to PC 2, as if PC 2 were a second monitor for PC 1).

I think your scenario sounds like a better use case for RDP/SSH, but I don't have a context for what you're doing and I'm sure you know your setup better than me.
