Server 1.4.3 x86 starts on Windows 7 x86 (further server computer) Client 1.4.3 x64 starts on Windows 7 x64 (further client computer) Everything works fine until the moment when the application runs as administrator and UAC dialog box appears on client computer. Then server computer mouse and keyboard stop working on the client computer, as if they are behind the darkened screen and the UAC dialog. I run the application using the client computer mouse. On Client:
Synergy is now configured to run as a Windows service. Now you must start the service. To do this you can either REBOOT, or you can do the following:
You can now run apps that require UAC elevation. Try it with start->regedit.exe 1. Worked fine for me.

Using Synergry 1.410 as Server on Win7 x64 and as client on Windows8 x64 released version. When every UAC occurs on Windows8 I loose mouse and keyboard access from the Synergry client requiring me to use the physical keyboard and mouse connected to Windows8 box. Both machines are running in service mode. Tried running client in Elevate mode did nothing to fix it. |

I am now running 1.4.10 on both client and server. After forcing the interface to run as admin, I was able to use the "Elevate" check-box on both ends to stop this behavior. |
