I'm being affected by this issue being tracked: http://synergy-foss.org/pm/issues/2763 I read through the issue and I've tried the versions with what I believed was the temp "fix". It seems there is still some discussion about what should be done in the long term. Even the temp fix doesn't seem to be working for me. Is there a work around for the time being? I love synergy, but I'm really missing the double click :( --Bryan |

This issue has been fixed: Bug #2763 - Double-click broken on Mac OS 1
I'm the owner of one (possibly more) of the tickets that nbolton mentioned. There isn't a fool-proof workaround for the issue with double clicking (sorry). The cause of this is a combination of two things happening inconveniently close to one another: The old way we sent clicks into MacOS was tagged for near-in-the-future removal by Apple, and the new call they suggest using is broken in not-easy-to-work-around ways. There is a patch attached to one of the tickets, and if you are willing, additional eyeballs on that would be really helpful. I haven't had much time to extend it in recent weeks, but should have more time to do so soon.

I was unable to find a work-around, sorry.
Is this a common issue for people?
Is there another version combination I should try? If yes to the first and no to the second is a fix likely in the future or will it likely be a while and I should just sit tight?
Well, it has 25 votes, so I'd say it's common. If you can't find a work around you'll just have to sit tight.
I am successfully simulating a double click to select words etc.(if not open things) by: left click, right click, right click again. The second right click opens a context menu, the 3rd right click closes it again, leaving the current word selected. Not ideal but that plus right click->open will allow me to use the new client for now.
