Can video switching be accomplished by commands being sent to the monitor through USB (since most monitors don't have a serial port)? I have written scripts to switch inputs on televisions before with the serial port, but can't find any information regarding if this is possible with usb and computer monitors. The reason I ask is that it would be nice to tell the monitor to switch inputs through synergy+ to achieve a full kvm solution with no additional hardware and only 1 monitor. I realize that monitors would have many different codes, but if I could add them manually it seems like this would be pretty useful.

Thanks
