[closed] strip formated text

I can not directly copy most text from windows to linux. This is what I do.

1) copy formatted text in windows (maybe from an html email)

2) paste text into notepad

3) recopy or cut text from notepad (this strips the formatting)

4) move mouse to linux box and paste text

Is there anyway I can remove step 2 and 3?

I'm running ver 1.4.8 on both sides.

to add a line break simply add two spaces to where you would like the new line to be.
