I am using 2 computers. One with a single monitor, one with dual. The single monitor sits between the duals (The duals are large TVs on opposite sides of the space) I would like to use Synergy to split the dual in half so that the mouse flows Dual-Left -> Single -> Dual-Right. I tried:
I know this has issue, esp. the links dual part as it doesn't know how to leave/enter half way across the monitor space. Am I asking too much of the program? Thanks! |

Sorry, I believe this is not possible. Though we intend to support this in version 2. If there's a road-map I'll be patient. You've got a definite beta tester right here! :) Thanks!

here is my setup, DESKTOP_1 has dual monitors. my problem is that i want linux-0s75.site to be below Desktop_1 (screen one) and linux-zs6p.site to be below Desktop_1 (screen two). Also I want to wrap around linux-zs6p.site to androidphone and reverse from that. one more thing, is there a way to configre that if i do not have one of the systems up, will synergy detect that and wrap to the next in line instead of just failing to switch between screens? thank you in advance for any input that is given!! section: screens androidphone: halfDuplexCapsLock = false halfDuplexNumLock = false halfDuplexScrollLock = false xtestIsXineramaUnaware = false switchCorners = none switchCornerSize = 0 android: halfDuplexCapsLock = false halfDuplexNumLock = false halfDuplexScrollLock = false xtestIsXineramaUnaware = false switchCorners = none switchCornerSize = 0 DESKTOP_1: halfDuplexCapsLock = false halfDuplexNumLock = false halfDuplexScrollLock = false xtestIsXineramaUnaware = false switchCorners = none switchCornerSize = 0 Laptop17: halfDuplexCapsLock = false halfDuplexNumLock = false halfDuplexScrollLock = false xtestIsXineramaUnaware = false switchCorners = none switchCornerSize = 0 Laptop15: halfDuplexCapsLock = false halfDuplexNumLock = false halfDuplexScrollLock = false xtestIsXineramaUnaware = false switchCorners = none switchCornerSize = 0 linux-0s75.site: halfDuplexCapsLock = false halfDuplexNumLock = false halfDuplexScrollLock = false xtestIsXineramaUnaware = false switchCorners = none switchCornerSize = 0 linux-zs6p.site: halfDuplexCapsLock = false halfDuplexNumLock = false halfDuplexScrollLock = false xtestIsXineramaUnaware = false switchCorners = none switchCornerSize = 0 end section: aliases Laptop17: Laptop1 end section: links androidphone: right = android android: right = DESKTOP_1 left = androidphone DESKTOP_1: right = Laptop17 down = linux-0s75.site left = android Laptop17: right = Laptop15 down = linux-zs6p.site left = DESKTOP_1 Laptop15: left = Laptop17 linux-0s75.site: up = DESKTOP_1 right = linux-zs6p.site linux-zs6p.site: up = Laptop17 left = linux-0s75.site end section: options relativeMouseMoves = false screenSaverSync = true win32KeepForeground = false switchCorners = none switchCornerSize = 0 end |

Just wanted to share my config to assist others: I have 3 computers and 8 Monitors. They're set up in the following configuration:
Synergy treats each computer's combined screens as 100%.. therefore 0-50% of dcographics going down is 100% of hornet and 51-100% of dcographics going down is 100% of WASP. Going UP from Hornet and Wasp is exactly the same. Going Left and Right between Hornet and Wasp is nothing special. One thing to note! When customizing your config it's really important to get the formatting correct or Synergy will read it improperly. I typically copy and paste a line that Synergy saved to the next line in the section and modify it to my needs.
+1, excellent example!

I just wanted to add to this because I have 4 screens total and I've edited it to have my mouse travel in circles now. 2 are my main PC then I have a laptop to the right and the dual monitor from the laptop to the left section: links

I got it. You have to save the configuration then edit it.
Nice! This works perfectly with my 10.7 mac in the middle, my macbook 10.6 on the right and the secondary screen for my Macbook on the left.

This worked for me as well. My Mac is the Single server in the middle and my Windows displays are on the sides (this kind of setup makes great sense in the web development field). When you first run these settings, when you move your mouse to the next display, it may enter the expected side of the wrong display. You could physically swap the displays. I got Ultramon on Windows so I can create profiles for rapidly switching between normal and a reversed display arrangement.

I've been trying to accomplish the same thing. I eventually got what I wanted but it's not a perfect solution. Here's how I did it.
Since the absolute left is a hard wall and the absolute right is too, physically swap your left and right displays (and adjust your configs accordingly). However, it takes some getting used to when you want to move anything from one of the duals to the other. Same problem occurs with a super-wide program like a wide workbook in excel. It's totally annoying to have to track all the way left to see the right side of the document. Oh, ya, and gaming on the system is out too. |
I have the same need. I tried using the LINK approaches but can't figure out a way forward :/ def a feature i'd love to see aswell
