Hello, whenever I boot Windows the ALT-key behaves as it's locked, I have to hit it first to 'unlock' it. This is very annoying (and interferes with Powerstrip auto-start). I tried to set Synergy to 'start after logging in', but it won't keep that option, it does nothing, after restart the checkbox is empty. Logging doesn't work also, when I check "Log to file" in the settings menu, the server won't start, it says: "synergys.exe: unrecognised option 'Files' - Try 'synergys.exe --help for more information'" Moreover I cannot stop the server, the option "Stop" is greyed out, but the server is running and working (I'm just typing via it). I don't know how to stop the server via command line (cmd), synergys.exe --stop only says: "Warning: attribute obsolete, try synergyd instead". Just executing synergyd.exe opens a popup window that says something like 'host service could not connect to host controller'. So I have to use the task-manager to kill it when I play games like Splinter Cell Chaos Theory where the mouse gets hyper-sensitiv and spinning around after a key stroke, as long as the synergy-server is on (simply locking it via the scroll-lock key doesn't work). I also can't use "save configuration"; when I do that and enter this file for the option "use existing configuration" I get the same "unrecognised option" failure like stated above. I can find this saved file only in the open/save dialogue of synergy and there it has a lock-icon, when I navigate to the directory using the windows explorer I can't find it, other programs can't find it as well, so I cannot edit it. E.G. when do a right-click on the file in the "open"-dialogue and choose "open with... Editor" nothing happens, the Editor can't find the file; I also can't change user rights, Windows then tells me 'file does not exist'!? I'm using Synergy 1.4.8 as service, Windows 7 64bit with all updates under administrator account, I have a Logitech G700 with all software (Setpoint, FlowScroll) and a Logitech K200 keyboard. I have one client connected. I tried it two times on a fresh Windows install and reinstalled Synergy multiple times, the 32 and the 64bit version, with same results. The client (Netbook) is running Windows XP and the 'stop' function is also greyed out and not working. Finally I'd like to disable the clipboard sharing. And at the moment only clipboard data from the client is shared to the server, but not the other way round!? I'd like to specify in which direction the clipboard is shared or disable it completely. |

If you want to stop and start Synergy, for now I'd reccomend using desktop mode instead of service mode (unless you don't mind stopping the service). Service mode is useful for when you want Synergy to run at the login screen, when you switch users, and when you want to use applicaitons running with elevated permissions. |
