Synergy v1.4.8

Computer name: Client-CPU Static ip: 192.168.1.100 Windows 7 Pro 32-bit

Computer name: Server-CPU Static ip: 192.168.1.120 Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

Network discovery enabled on both computers.

I started Synergy on Server-CPU. I then started Synergy on Client-CPU. Note: On Client-CPU, I told Synergy that the server was at 192.168.1.120.

On Client-CPU, the following error occurred:

NOTE: started client NOTE: connecting to '192.168.1.120': 192.168.1.120:24800 ERROR: server refused client with name " Client-CPU " WARNING: failed to connect to server: server refused client with our name

On Server-CPU, the following error occurred:

NOTE: started server, waiting for clients NOTE: accepted client connection NOTE: disconnecting client " Client-CPU " NOTE: client " Client-CPU " has disconnected WARNING: unrecognised client name " Client-CPU ", check server config

In hosts and lmhosts for both computers I placed, 192.168.1.120 Server-CPU 192.168.1.200 Client-CPU But connection error still occurred.

I turned off firewall on both computers, but connection error still occurred.

What is going on? Does Synergy read the host or lmhost file? Thanks in advance.

Make sure your server config is using the correct client name. Check the client settings to get the client name.
