Hi,

I'm not able to share keyboard and mouse between Windows 7 and Windows XP. I am using Windows 7 as synergy server and a Windows XP as synergy client. Both OS are 32-bit. On both machines auto start option is set to "when computer starts".

If, on windows 7, I set the auto start option to "when you log in" everything works fine.

I have tried this with both synergy 1.3.8 and 1.4.8 and the results are same for both the version of Synergy.

Thanks,

-Sourabh

Hi,

By latest version you mean 1.4.9 (Beta), right?

Yeah, the latest release is always displayed on the downloads page, though you can get bleeding edge versions from here: http://synergy-foss.org/nightly/

Hi,

I'm using 1.4.10 (in service mode) and facing another issue. The configuration is same.

When I lock the computers, mouse and hence keyboard sharing stops working. I have to use key board attached to the client (Win XP) machine to first unlock it and then sharing starts again.

I have selected "Automatically start server/client" and "Hide when server/client starts" in the settings.

I'm having the same problem as SBhandari. When the screen locks, my server says I'm still connected to my XP box, but I can't move my mouse from the server into the locked XP client to unlock it... This worked fine when I used the older version of Synergy on the client... maybe I need to switch back to that way again?....
