I've just installed Synergy on my MacBook Pro (10.7) as server and on a Windows 7 PC as client. It appears that the trackpad gestures and scrolling (e.g. four finger swipes, and two finger scrolling) are disabled after connecting. Is there a way to retain this functionality on the Mac side and still allow a Synergy connection to the Windows machine? Thanks |

@Oo0Bailey0oO, to create bug reports you just need to create an account in the bug tracker system. However, there is already a tracker created for this one: http://synergy-foss.org/tracker/issues/3247 |

My temporary workaround is to use BetterTouchTool on the Lion server. I already had BTT installed to re-enable some gestures from Snow Leopard that I wanted in Lion so I just configured BTT to have a two-finger swipe up to be page down (yes, I like the new natural scrolling) and a two-finger swipe down to be page up. This is not perfect at all because it doesn't scroll as you move your fingers. You have to swipe and pull your fingers off the trackpad for it to be registered as a swipe up event. But at least I can page up and down for now. Thanks for the suggestion, David. My usage of Synergy is minimal at this point so I'll probably just suffer the issue, but I'll pick up BTT should that change. I'm new to this product and forums. What's the best way to log this bug to be addressed by the development team?

I just installed the latest nightly (1.4.9 build r1432) and I also have no more scrolling capability on my Mac trackpad. The nightly fixes the issues in bug #57 which are huge, but now I've lost scrolling so I'm still not there.
More notes about this... I have noticed that scrolling still works with whatever app was foreground when synergy was started. And scrolling stays "slaved" to that app. So if my browser was up before starting and I start the server through the menulet icon, scrolling still works in my browser. Then I switch to another app and scroll and behind the new app I see the browser is actually scrolling, not the new app. Stopping and starting the server now "slaves" the scrolling to the new front app.
I'm having the same issue here. Ironically, I was already using BTT but still scrolling and Forward/Backward were disabled.
