Server: Windows 7 64bit (Right side) Client: Ubuntu 11.10 Gnome3 Classic (Left side)

My problem is this, I start the server on Win7, then move on to the Ubuntu client and start it with the synergyc [ip] command in the terminal. From here everything seems to work, I can type and everything with my windowsplugged keyboard and mouse.

But if I press any of the Shift, Ctrl, Alt & Windowskeys I am instantly reverted back to the Windows desktop, disconnected and can't move back to the Ubuntumachine until I retype the command in the client terminal.

EDIT: I've tried switching it around, with the client on Win7 and the server on Ubuntu... still the same result.

Not being able to use any of these 4 keys without being disconnected is a bit annoying I do have to say.

Anyone knows how to solve this?

After upgrading my client PC to 12.04 it constantly disconnects with different keys... My Server has remained the same on 12.04 for the past couple months... client side is causing this, very annoying.

Upgraded to beta 1.4.8 on both client and server and the issue is resolved.

I had the same problem and what worked for me was to have the Ubuntu computer run synergy as the server rather than the client.

arturo_oimail: I tried that, but it still gives me the same result. As soon as I press any of those keys on the main-keyboard no matter which one is the server.. it disconnects and I have to retype the synergys [ip] command in the ubuntu terminal.
