Hi, I am new to Synergy.
I have an iMac at home running OSX 10.7.3 I have downloaded and installed SynergyKM installer 1.3.1. I have run the installer and set it to be the server. I have put my iMac as a screen and my Thinkpad. I have named them using the correct names of each device.

I have turned on the server on the iMac and its status is "looking for peers".

I have installed the client on my Thinkpad 1.3.8. I have entered the IP address of my iMac and then click start. I get the following message "failed to connect to server. The attempt to connect was forcefully rejected. I have checked the firewall on my Mac, and it is off.

Any ideas what I can do next?

Thanks

Matt

update1: I have tried installing the 1.3.1 client on my Thinkpad, and I still get the same issue with the same error message. update2: I actually now think that Synergy is not what I need. I want to share the screen as well, but I guess Synergy won't do that. I am interested to understand what may be the cause of this problem anyway.
