On my mac, which is the client computer, I have two Synergy icons in the dock at all time, and I cannot hide them either, "right click -> hide" does nothing. Any work-around, or is there something I'm doing wrong?

Unfortunately, the dock icon hide feature is only supported on Mac OS X Lion. Anything earlier will not work. This is due to a limitaiton in the Mac OS X API. However, there is a work-around, you can run the following command to hide dock icons:

defaults write /Applications/Synergy.app/Contents/Info LSUIElement 1

We will be adding a "service" mode option soon, which could help solve this problem on all versions of Mac OS X.

Just wanted to add, that this problem still exists on Mac OS X 10.6.8. The solution provided by nbolton works.

Any chance the "service" mode has been added to solve this problem yet?
