I'm using Synergy 1.4.8 on both OSX 10.7 and Windows 7. The Windows box is the server and the Mac is the client. When trying to start synergy client on the Mac I get a 'WARNING: failed to connect to server: Connection refused' message. I have verified that the IP address is correct along with the host names on each computer. I have also made sure that the Windows firewall is turned off.

Any ideas as to why the two won't connect or are there any additional troubleshooting steps I can take?

Thanks for any help that can be provided,

Dustin

This can occur when either Synergy is actually not running (did you click "Apply" after editing your config?) or the firewall is still running somehow. You could also try restarting your PC.
