There are a few mentions of this on the web. I have been running synergy for a few years without problem. I just installed the OpenDNS parental controls on my router and now synergy does not link between my two computers which I want connecting. It's actually sporadic - sometimes it works and sometimes not. There have been mentions of static IPs and host file changes but I think those are more unix / Mac solutions. I have a Windows7 machine that is the server and a Windows XP client.

Anything to do with DNS will only affect hostname resolution. If you are using only IP addresses in your Synergy config, then this should solve your problem.
