I have a windows 7 laptop running as my server, and a mac osx 10.7 running as a client. By default, the windows key maps to the command key and the alt key maps to the alt/option key. What i'm trying to do is have my alt and meta keys be reversed when my mouse is over on my mac (so that the keys are the same order on both keyboards). The config essentially looks like this:

alt = meta

meta = alt

However, when I configure that for my mac's screen in config, it seems that alt on windows is correctly mapped to command, but the windows key (meta) is still mapped to command and not option. Is there any way around this, such that i'm not losing access to one of the modifier keys on my mac? thanks!
