[closed] cant get synergy to work with a single monitor and two desktops

Question

I have a two desktops connected to my TV. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse connected to one desktop using a wireless dongle, how can i share this wireless keyboard and mouse on the other desktop without buying another dongle?

I'd set up the configuration as such:

section: links
ComputerA:
    right = ComputerB
ComputerB:
    left = ComputerA

Then when you switch the Input on your TV from ComputerA to ComputerB, you simple move the mouse to the right to transfer to ComputerB. When you switch back the TV Input to ComputerA, move the mouse to the left to change move back to ComputerA.

Note: This answer applies to old versions (e.g. 1.3). Using new versions (e.g. 1.4), there is no need to hand-edit config files.

Ah, thanks for the addendum nbolton. I use the config file on whichever version (I find it simpler). Also, the GUI tends to be slightly different depending on the OS you are using (Although the functionality and features are all there, maybe just located in a different menu).
