Hello all:

I have been using synergy between 2 windows 7 x64 machines for a long time now - about 9 months without issue with it. Suddenly, this morning, the client and server will not connect. The machines are side-by-side and hooked to the same switch. Neither end registers as connected to the other.

I am using synergy 1.4.5. I have also tried to uninstall and re-install synergy. The uninstall went fine, but the re-install gives me the following error:

"Error opening file for writing: C:Program FilesSynergysynrgyhk.dll"

My only options are abort, retry or skip the file. Nothing works. Please help!

Errors with "synrgyhk.dll" are more common on older versions. Please upgrade and restart your computer.

Try right clicking on the install file and running as Admin.
