Hello, I have setup Synergy on a Windows 7 64bit (server) and a Lubuntu 11.10 (client) machine. After struggling for some time to get it to work, I finally got all the settings right and working. However when I moved the mouse from the server to client, the cursor gets stuck on the client screen. I can move it around and still type on the keyboard but I cant get back to the server. I followed the instructions from the FAQ "Help, my cursor randomly gets stuck on a client screen!" by adding keystroke(ScrollLock) = lockCursorToScreen(off) to the server options but that did not work. It still gets stuck and is not random at all. It happens everytime. If anyone has any idea on how to fix this, it will be much appreciated. Thank you. Edit: I must add that I have tried switching the Windows PC to become the client and everything worked fine. (this is not ideal for my situation though) |

This is usually a configuration error since 1.3 can be tricky to setup. Try using 1.4 (latest version at the moment) which is easier to setup. |

I had the same problem. What happened was I only configured one way. It needs both directions. Create two links for two screens. For example: having two screens, leftMonitor, and rightMonitor. You will need to create two links on the server config. leftMonitor is left to rightMonitor righteMonitor is right to leftMonitor. |
did you define going back? I had nearly the same problem (xp on the left and ubuntu on the right). I only defined that XP is to the LEFT of UBUNTU but not the opposite direction. (I was using XP as server and ubuntu as client so I added to xp's server configurations: UBUNTU is to the RIGHT of XP). If your mouse gets stuck, unplugging the ethernet cable from the server will eventually reset the mouse/keyboard.
