I have been running Synergy with great success for many years, my company has recently changed there security test on my laptop that confirms I have the screen saver configured to require a password when resuming. I understand that Synergy disables this function on a client machine because the servers keyboard cannot be used to ctrl-alt-del into the client when it is locked.

My question is, can I turn of the disabling of the password requirement using a config setting, or if I run the laptop as the server will the screen saver password still be disabled?

You must have the client installed as a service to startup automatically.

To send control-alt-delete on win7, from http://synergy-foss.org/tracker/issues/677

the administrator must explicitly allow sending SAS via group policies (run gpedit.msc, Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Windows Logon Options/Disable or enable software Secure Attention Sequence, enable for services or for both services and Ease-of-Access programs).

To send C-A-D, press Control-Alt-Pause
