issue with autostart when computer start (windows)

Hello,

I'm using synergy for long time in user mode (launched manually in both server and clients). Now I whished to have mouse and keyboard sharing work also at logon screen (or unlock screen). Unfortunately it seems that it doesn't work. I followed the autostart guide but couldn't find any help further.

My configuration is as following.

Server : Windows 7 x64 sp1, with synergy-1.3.8-Windows-x64.exe
Client : Windows XP sp3 , with synergy-1.3.8-Windows-x86.exe

The scenario.

After installing without issue autostart services in both server and client, I restart both computers.

Unfortunately the keyboard and mouse focus remains in server screen, I have no way to go client screen.

Then I log with proper keyboard on both. I see on the client connected synergy notification icon (with yellow flash). But no icon at all on the server. Despite of synergys.exe running.

And still no mouse or keyboard focus to my client.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here is my configuration file synergy.sgc found in both my document and c:windows folder on the server.

Hello,

Thanks Willichan to make apply policies, but the hint for CTRL+ALT+PAUSE has provided me for a workaround, but still not a solution:

The workaround is as follow :

On client computer install the autostart as whished
On Server computer create a registry key to autostart synergys.exe with appropriate command line arguments (I used HKLMMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun)

With this configuration, mouse and keyboard sharing occurs once I'm logged in the server computer (using CTRL+ALT+PAUSe keystroke to logg to client)

This is still a wrokaround and requires to be logged in the server computer. It will be nice to have solution that works even if one is not logged to the server. I need this functionality, because of possible remote connection to the server computer from other people in my network, in which case I have to plug back my mouse and keyboard to my client computer.

I have also tried the beta version (1.4.5) but I can't even get them connected. I would really appreciate that developpers take care of this issue and provide us with a solution for next release.
