How should I use this Q&A site?
This Question and Answer community is different from a typical forum. Instead of adding to a thread, you can either:
- Post a question
- Comment on a question
- Answer the question
- Comment on an answer
Important: Be careful not to post answers unless you're actually answering the question; do not click "Post your asnwer" when you mean to click "add new comment". We have a big problem with users doing this, and it wastes a lot of our time converting answers to comments.
Why can't I create tags?
New users cannot create tags. This is so that users don't invent tags that don't make sense. If you're not sure which tag to use, then take a look at the tag list.
Can I post bugs here?
No, please report a bug instead.
What should I avoid in my answers?
This website is a question and answer site - it is not a discussion group. Please avoid holding debates in your answers as they tend to dilute the essense of questions and answers. For brief discussions please use commenting facility.
